Tango Schmango

OK, I can't help it, I like to watch mindless VH1 Reality, in particular my girl Miss New York, Tiffany Pollard, who got dumped by the Tan Man in a big, nasty way.

She picked Tango in the end. She trashed his mother previously in the show and he found out about it after the show aired. At the reunion, he faked her out until he could call her out.

Which brings me to my point: getting dumped sucks. But I also find being the dumper isn't easier unless you get to your boiling point about it and then watch out-the ugly truth rears its ugly head.

Oh, c'est la vie. I am sure you girls out there have more interesting dumping stories than the men out there, now don't you?

While neither position is especially enviable, I do think being the dumper is slightly better than being the dumpee because then at least you have the illusion that you exerted some control over your life.

Once I broke up with a guy because he sent me flowers (roses maybe?) on our 6 month "anniversary." Obviously there was more to it than that, but not telling the rest of the story makes that statement funnier. Although our breakup did end up sending him to a psychiatrist. Maybe I'm not a good dumper after all.

I used to have a horrible addiction to "behind the Music"...it wasn't pretty...(hangs head in shame).

Yup getting dumped and being dumped are awful - my worst case after dumping someone was having to shout at the guy not to kill himself - he had issues

Hyacinths and Shadow- wow, pretty heady stuff- I usually am like F-it-unless I am really angry, I will tell it like it is, no holds barred, though I would rather not- I can't say I have sent a man to a shrink or over the brink-

Hyacinths, I can't imagine why you would break up over flowers unless they were "used" or meant for someone else or the favorites of someone else.

Shadow, no head hanging in shame here, you are talking to a Flavor of Love fan, with full knowledge of how trashy the whole thing is-I don't care either!

I dumped a girlfriend by leaving her a note on kitty cat stationery while she was out. The funny part was that I had some time to kill before meeting someone that night, so I took out her trash and fixed her washer before I split.

TFG- are you kidding?

Nope--true story. Trust me, she earned it.

I used to be addicted to Pop Up Video. Sad, but true. As for getting dumping... I caught a boyfriend cheating (as in walked in on it) and the two of them got really flustered. I simply smiled, said "I guess now isn't a good time" and walked out. I didn't get angry or show emotio, even though I was seething, and that tortured him more than anything else. To this day, he still grovels. It's a wonderful thing....

Legal-wow-those are hard situations- I hope it was not in your house-since he is still groveling, did you forgive him?

I've somewhat forgiven him, but I still make him work for it!

Legal-I am sure you are enjoying that!
